Congress of Turks

A – Structure

1 -The Congress of Turks is organized by independent national activists to promote people’s ethnic aspirations and power.

2 – The Congress of Turks is based on United Nations’ charters and the merits of declaration of human rights.

4 – The Congress of Turks believes in freedom, honor, and the democratic lifestyle of Turks in Iran. It is committed to achieving and preserving its national interest both economically and spiritually, protecting and promoting its cultural ethnic principles and beliefs.

5 – The Congress of Turks recognizes itself as a Turkic ideological and political organization to regain, preserve, and protect its national interests and rights in its own lands.

6 – The Congress of Turks strongly believes in the need and necessity for participation of all of its people, regardless of gender, social and economic, and/or religious, faith, and spiritual differences, in order to reclaim and achieve the national ideals and demands.

B – Principles

1 – The Congress of Turks believes in the equal rights of men and women in all aspects of life.

2 – The Congress of Turks is a thought and ideology as well as an organization that recognizes only mankind as the ultimate grace and sacred worthiness. The highest service is serving mankind and doing what is possible to ensure its happiness, physical and spiritual security, health, and well-being.

3 – The Congress of Turks believes that power comes from rights rather than rights coming from power.

4 – The Congress forbids human torture and execution.

5 – The Congress of Turks believes in the value and respect of all people living in Iran, regardless of the principles of their beliefs, values, or ethnicities.

6 – The Congress of Turks condemns any and all ethnic and racial supremacy beliefs and recognize it inhuman and against humanity from anybody and any ideology

7 – The Congress of Turks believes that the prosperity and tranquility of societies come only from peace, security, and understanding. The Congress condemns any kind of terrorism, violence, and bloodshed.

8 – The Congress of Turks strongly condemns any kind of planning, supporting, cooperating, or creating of a situation by groups or governments that result in purposefully changing the ethnic structure of Turkic lands at times of peace or war anywhere in the world. We believe such actions should be considered and treated as genocide and a crime against humanity.

J – Faith

1 – The Congress of Turks, with ultimate respect to people’s faiths and religions, strongly believes in the separation of the church and state at every level.

2 -The Congress of Turks believes that the people, groups, and organizations acting in the name of cover of religions shall not interfere, positively or negatively, in government affairs.

3 –The Congress of Turks believes in people’s inalienable rights and freedoms to reject, select, refuse, change, prompt, learn about, and/or teach their own religion individually or collectively.

D – HOMELAND

1 – The Congress of Turks believes Iran is the undeniable and eternal homeland of Turks.

2 – The Congress of Turks, based on abundant, endless, and sufficient historical facts, believes that—due to the diversity of people and provinces—Iran was and is a union of nations

3 -The Congress of Turks recognizes the province of South Azerbaijan as a component of Iran’s union.

4 -The Congress of Turks believes that the historically unified Azerbaijan has been forcefully separated into the north and the south as the result of conflicts and continues wars between Iranian and Russian Empires.

5 -The Congress of Turks believes in and officially recognizes the borders of the province of Azerbaijan defined before the coup of February 22, 1921.

6 -The Congress of Turks believes that the regions and states of Ardebil, West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, Zangan, Hamadan, Anzali, and Astara as well as cities of Gurveh, Songur, and Bijar in the state of Kurdistan and the city of Rasht in the state of Gilan are an integral and indivisible territory of South Azerbaijan’s historic province that some have wrongfully separated and adjoined to other states.

7 -The Congress of Turks believes in reviewing and revisiting the historical territories of Turks in Iran in a positive, constructive, and cooperative manner by relying on historical resources.

8 -The Congress of Turks strongly believes in the popular slogan “the homeland cannot be given away” and is committed to preserving and protecting its existing territories by any means and ways possible, with no limit.

9 -The Congress of Turks, based on historical precedents and experiences, believes in a federal government system in the future democratic Iran.

10 -The Congress of Turks believes in and recommends a liberal democratic federal government for Iran.

11 – The Congress of Turks reserves the full right for Turkic nation living in Iran to declare independence and separation as its natural and legitimate right, if during the process of democratization for stabilizing a Federalism in the ethnic provinces,  the totalitarian monopolizing forces do not act sincerely with good  by sabotaging in the process.

H – Turkic Government

1 – The Congress of Turks believes in people as the ultimate power of the nation and trusts that the will of the Turks is the highest democratic voice.

2 -The Congress of Turks believes in forming a Turkic government as a result of majority votes and a democratic election.

3 – The Congress of Turks believes that the basic principle of forming the Turkic governments lies in people’s choice and voice for their national interests.

4 – The Congress of Turks believes that the rise and formation of any government are a result of people’s will, as demonstrated through a democratic election process.

5 – The Congress of Turks believes in the separation of church and state and envisions a secular, independent, modern, democratic government founded on the rule of laws, with total separation of religions and personal faiths from the government.

6 – The Congress of Turks believes that Turkish is the official language of Turks all over the country.

7 – The Congress of Turks believes in teaching, promoting and preserving the language of non-Turkic peoples living in Turkic lands along with the Turkish language.

8- The Congress of Turks, considering the history and historic sources, believes that the Turkic flag in Iran is comprised of green on top, white in middle, and red in bottom without any emblem, mark, or design.

9 – The Congress of Turks believes that all countries and governments of Turkic nations all over the world, especially the republic of Azerbaijan, as well as other Turkic societies and territories without their own government are part of the indivisible whole of the Turkic world and commits itself to supporting and protecting their ethnic and civil rights.

10 -The Congress of Turks believes in maintaining the integrity of its independence and principle and, without being subjected to any external influence, cooperating and creating mutually respectful relationships with other social and political organizations in Iran and abroad to reach and achieve its national interests.

V – TURK INDENTITY

1 – The Congress of Turks believes the slogan of “Hey hear me, I am a Turk” has risen from the hearts and souls of Turkic people and recognizes it as a sacred golden bond among Turks all over the country.

2 – The Congress of Turks believes the province of Azerbaijan is the eternal cradle of Turks’ identity and the beating heart of Turks in Iran.

3 – The Congress of Turks believes the province of Azerbaijan is the golden bridge of Turkic World and one of its important and strategic lands.

4 – The Congress of Turks believes in the historic presence of Turks all over the country in small and/or large communities, who comprise the relative majority of country’s population.

5 – The Congress of Turks believes in achieving the goal of self-determination and the prophecy of protecting Turks’ true identity in their eternal undeniable motherlands all over the  country , including but not limited to Azerbaijan, Qashqai, Khorasan, Khalaj, Turkmen,  Arak and  the central  provinces.

6 – The Congress of Turks, knowing that the magnificent history of Turks in Iran has been and is still being distorted, twisted, and misrepresented by past and current regimes, is committed to resurrecting, resuscitating, and elevating the national pride and persuading the popular participation in determining its own destiny and government affairs with confidence; we suggest reviewing and rewriting the history of Turks and their Turkic empires in Iran truly, fairly, and truthfully.

7 – The Congress of Turks believes that achieving the goals of Turks’ national aspiration and self-determination is only foreseeable and feasible through the popular awakening and promotion of Turkic culture and self-identity.

8 – The Congress of Turks believes in and recognizes the need for teaching, educating , and promoting popular awakening and awareness through solemn, scientific, and proper rational publications and media.

Z – Economic

1 – The Congress of Turks believes in a free market economy.

2 – The Congress of Turks believes that people are the ultimate owners of all wealth of the nation, both over and under their lands.

3 – The Congress of Turks believes in establishing structured economic alliances with neighboring countries who share historic or cultural backgrounds in order to expand and increase economic and production prosperity.
